These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Answerix mobile application and related services (the “Service”) operated by Answerix (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using Answerix, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Answerix helps you study by uploading learning materials, generating quizzes, tracking practice progress, and offering related features that may change over time. We may update, add, or remove features without prior notice.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law to use the Service.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and keep your profile reasonably up to date.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of documents and other content you upload (“User Content”). By uploading User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service, including AI-assisted processing you request.
You represent and warrant that:
- You have the rights necessary to upload and use the User Content with Answerix.
- Your User Content does not infringe others’ rights or violate law.
- You will not upload malware, unlawful material, or content intended to abuse the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service except where permitted by law.
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Use Answerix to generate or distribute harmful, infringing, or deceptive content.
- Misuse AI features in ways that violate third-party rights or applicable regulations.
- Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features may require a paid subscription. Purchases made through the Apple App Store are billed by Apple and subject to Apple’s terms. Subscription renewals, cancellations, and refunds are generally managed through your Apple ID settings. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once charged.
6. AI Outputs
Quizzes and other AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Answerix is a study aid and does not replace professional advice, official course materials, or your own judgment. You are responsible for how you use generated content.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including software, branding, design, and documentation (excluding User Content), is owned by Answerix or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our IP to you.
8. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANSWERIX AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
11. Termination
You may stop using Answerix at any time and may delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will survive.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
